Hotmail.ca Microsite
Windows Live Hotmail, developed by Microsoft, is the world’s largest web-based email service. It has numerous features including unlimited storage, integration with Windows Live Messenger, and collaboration on files between Hotmail users.
The Need:
Microsoft wanted to inform veteran Windows Live Hotmail users that they could update their current account to a more “mature” email address.
The Solution:
Digiflare partnered with TAXI, a marketing communications company in Montreal to develop a microsite which contained all the information Hotmail users would need to know to update their account. While TAXI provided the design, Digiflare developed the site using Microsoft Silverlight technology. Features include a video tutorial which fades out the rest of the screen so a user’s main focus is on the video itself.
The Result:
Microsoft now has a polished, informative microsite targeted towards users who want to continue using their Hotmail account and portray a more professional appearance.
