CTV Olympic Torch Relay Site
Digiflare was asked by Canada’s Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium (COBMC) to create a Silverlight application that allows Canadians to follow the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay through content that includes: video highlights, photos, interactive map/route/schedule with information on celebration cities, history and design of the torch, user-generated content sections.
COBMC is a unique relationship between leading media conglomerates CTV Inc. and Rogers Media Inc., which together will provide unprecedented coverage for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games. The national relay route will link together over 1,000 communities and places of interest. The relay will travel more than 45,000 kilometres across Canada — some by land, air and water; over the span of 106 days from October 30th, 2009 to February 12th, 2010.
